35 years of technology policy leadership worldwide. Attorney, tech and trade policy advisor, former senior U.S. Government official, technology industry association CEO, global tech advisor.
Ambassador Holleyman served as Deputy U.S. Trade Representative (2014-2017). In this Senate-confirmed position, he was responsible for trade negotiations in Asia, global digital policy, services, investment, intellectual property and innovation policy.
He was CEO of Crowell & Moring International and Partner in the international trade and privacy and security practices of the law firm Crowell & Moring LLP (2017-2024). He served as CEO at the Business Software Alliance (1990-2013), where he expanded BSA's presence from a late-stage start-up to 68 countries worldwide with a focus on the areas of market access, intellectual property, cybersecurity and government procurement, among others.
He is former Senate counsel; U.S. District Court law clerk. Member of the Advisory Board, Center for Democracy and Technology; Board of Advisors, National Bureau of Asian Research.

Melissa is a public policy and regulatorystrategist with over 15 years of experience across financial services,technology, and emerging markets. She is pursuing a PhD on South Africa’s 2020fintech regulatory sandbox, exploring how experimental regulation balancesinnovation and consumer protection.
Her career spans Liberty Group and Standard Bank SouthAfrica, where she led regulatory strategy and policy advocacy, and advisorywork for a South American fintech unicorn entering South Africa’s paymentsmarket. She also brings Africa-wide experience from British American Tobaccoand Access Partnership, where she engaged governments across the continent onconnectivity, digital transformation, and emerging technologies for clientssuch as Apple, Amazon, and Intelsat.
Through ThinkTech, Melissa draws on her industry,consultancy, and academic background to offer nuanced insights on fintech,digitalization, and Africa’s evolving regulatory landscape.

Martin D. Adams is a tech strategist, entrepreneur, and former intellectual property and privacy lawyer. A Harvard-trained lawyer and World Economic Forum Global Innovator, he has co-founded and exited multiple AI ventures, including Metaphysic.ai (a Time 100 Magazine Top 100 Business), and authored patents in generative media.
Martin has advised governments and startups on data rights, AI governance, and innovation policy; he has addressed the European Commission on disruptive technologies and was invited as an expert witness to the UK Parliament Select Committee on AI and Creativity. He is a Founding Member of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), a global initiative to ensure transparency and trust in digital media.
In recent years, he has helped pioneer new rights frameworks for identity, likeness, and consent in the digital age— laying the groundwork for a more ethical and sustainable internet. At ThinkTech Policy, he contributes deep insight into emerging technologies, IP frameworks, and rights-based regulatory design.

Through Casanueva Law, Ana provides corporate legal advice to growingcompanies, mainly in the fintech space, including Fractional General Counselservices to U.S. companies operating in Mexico or Latin America. Until April of2024, Ana served as Senior Vice President and Director of Legal of Byline Bank.Ana joined Byline in December 2013 and held different positions, includingAssociate General Counsel. During her time at Byline, Ana also held the positionof Corporate Secretary for Byline Bank and Byline Bancorp, Inc.
Prior to working for Byline Bank in Chicago, Ana worked inMexico City as the General Counsel for Grupo Empresarial Kaluz since 2010, andas in-house counsel for Grupo Financiero Ve por Mas since 2009. Before workingfor Ve por Mas, Anaworked at Gardere Arena y Asociados, S.C. at the MexicoCity, Dallas and Houston offices. Ana is a member of the Board of Cristo ReyJesuit High School, and member of the Leadership Council of Rise Up. She isalso a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
Ana holds a J.D. from the Universidad Iberoamericana, a J.D.from DePaul School of Law, and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School. She iscertified to practice law in Mexico, and is a member of the District ofColumbia Bar.
